Developed by a passionate team of designers and engineers, the all-new Z represents an approachable sports car for the modern age – with an unmatched 50-plus year heritage and global fan base.
The all-new Z is arriving to Australia in 2022.
The original 240Z was built to bring the joy and excitement of sports car ownership to as many people as possible – a car built for enthusiasts, by enthusiasts. That spirit and heritage continues with the upcoming launch of this exciting all-new reincarnation of Z.
The all-new Z’s 3.0-liter V6 twin turbo engine adds a significant bump in power output over the previous generation 370Z, coming in either a 6-speed manual transmission or an advanced, quick-response 9-speed automatic transmission.
Getting behind the wheel of the all-new Z feels new and modern, yet still familiar...
The all-new Z boasts a fresh, sleek exterior design with an appearance that communicates respect to its heritage. Its long hood and short deck are fundamentally Z, with a fresh look that is inspired by thousands of Z enthusiasts.
The link to the original Z is most striking when viewing from the side. The roofline flows from the nose to the squared-off rear to create a distinctive first-generation Z profile. In the rear, the combination lamps incorporate modern technology and are reminiscent of the Z32 (1990-1996) 300ZX.
Designed to fit the driver and passenger like a glove, the all-new Z’s cabin seamlessly blends modern technology with vintage Z touches. The centre stack takes inspiration from other generations before it, with three analog pod gauges on the instrument panel, 8.0” touchscreen audio display in the centre and climate control switches near the shifter.
To provide an ideal sports car cabin for all driving scenes, the 12.3” digital meter display is customisable to display all vital information uniquely arranged to help the driver grasp it at a glance.
The design of the seats...
At the heart of the Z is a 3.0-litre V6 twin-turbocharged 24-valve engine outputting 298kW of power and 475Nm of torque. An aluminium-alloy block and heads keep things light, while a water-cooled intercooler helps keep things cool.
A new mechanical limited-slip differential helps distribute power to the driven wheel with the best grip, helping you power out of corners.
The first on any Z – available launch control helps eliminate wheel spin and hop, by holding the engine at a pre-set rpm and modulates power as you pull away to give you the fastest, most consistent acceleration every time.
The original 240Z had round headlights that created an iconic look. By carefully sculpting the LED bulbs into graceful curves, the Z pays homage, yet looks completely modern. The rear taillights were inspired by the 90's 300ZX. Simple and clean, LED lighting with a double-layered 3D design makes them modern and brilliant.
The silver accent alongside the roofline emphasises side–view lines and is inspired by the Katana, a Japanese Samurai Sword, honouring the Z’s Japanese heritage and exquisite craftsmanship.
A perfect contrast to the exterior design, the 19” dark metallic forged alloy wheels by RAYS® create a stunning presence and promise thrilling performance.
The all-new Z is not yet available for purchase. Expected availability for Australia is 2022. All features are based on the pre-production overseas model. Actual Australian production model may vary.
